Greetings, You sent service technician Shane out to my Corinth home this morning to address my AC cooling problems. I want to say that your group is an example of what service should be. I called after 8:00 AM this morning and Shane was here before 11:00 AM. He is extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and explained everything very well. He fixed us up and the charges were very reasonable. In addition to the repair, he dressed up some wiring and a washed out the outside unit. I'm very happy with the service, response, and charges. It's nice to find an honest, trustworthy company who shoots you straight and doesn't try to take advantage of you with parts and service you don't need to address the problem. Thank you very much! I just want to say THANK YOU!!!! I got home from work today to find the temp inside my house was 92. I called the company who does the twice yearly service on my ac and was told they would be able to come out in 4 days and would charge me double since it was a weekend call. I went ahead and scheduled thinking we would have to stay with friends until then. Then the name Southern Comfort caught my eye. (I really just called because I liked the name.) I was hoping for a regular appt within the next couple of days. Shane was out within the hour!!!! Yes, within an hour of me calling them and they just charged the regular fee. He filled up the freon and had the ac cooling before he left. Very professional but most of all QUICK!!! You guys saved us from loading up 2 dogs and 2 cats and crashing at a friends. Southern Comfort just installed two 16-seer units in our home. I was impressed that they showed up ON TIME and finished the job that day. The crew even took a broom to my hardwood floors after going in and out all day, leaving them cleaner than how they found them. Jason stayed around after the crew was gone to show me the ins and outs of the units, how to change the filters, etc. We even made sure I completed the product registration on Trane's website for warranty purposes. The Southern Comfort team has provided outstanding service from proposal to installation and post-installation support. Laurie was of invaluable assistance in working with us to provide documentation required to take advantage of available tax credits while Jason and his team did a fantastic job of installing our complete new system. We've used SC for repairs of previous equipment and have always found them dependable and trustworthy. For our new system, we received a great competitive price but it was our history with them that sealed the deal. Everybody sells the equipment, but it’s the installer that you should be more concerned about. Based on past and current support, I can say that we are happy we went with Sothern Comfort on the investment we have made in our home and can rest easy knowing I've found a good AC man versus some big company. The Southern Comfort crew just installed two xl20i systems to my home. Here are some of the reasons I think I received a great price and outstanding service. The first thing the crew did after arriving was to lay down canvas over all the carpet they would be traveling over, up the stairs, down the hall etc. I really like that type of courtesy. During the install I noted that Jason is on site and participating in the install, not just farming it out to subcontractors like so many companies do. Jason has his own crew for every install, which is great peace of mind with regard to safety and security. After inspecting the finished install I noted the attention to detail such as taping the edges to the duct sealant so it wouldn't look hurried and sloppy. Also, the metal suspension strips in the attic weren't just bolted to the furnace system, like my old Rheem units, they were attached to steel suspension beams and the unit placed on those. You rarely see that type of pride in workmanship today. Finally the crew noted one outside unit had a tiny squeek after all was completed. The crew stayed overtime until a small screw was located and tightened and the unit was whisper quiet. I also had some extra duct work installed and the whole invoice was under estimate! Jason and the Southern Comfort crew are selling the top of the line unit, Trane, and are combining that with the type of service that is hard to find. Garland, TX April 08, 2010 22:35:55
